For a number of reasons, the boys and I couldn’t march yesterday, though I really wanted to. Instead, it felt like a good time to lie under my awesome Christmas present blanket with Will and watch The West Wing. It wasn’t the most comfortable thing in the world as Will was most comfortable bashing his head into my face, but I wouldn’t dream of trading it.
There’s something about this still flag and the gray day behind it that perfectly captures how I’m feeling right now.
Beers one and two bottled, both IPAs. Working names: Hop Flashes and Too Much Math. Struck out on my own for these two with loose recipe guidance, a lot of division, dry hopping, and glass marbles. Smells like beer. Batch three bottling tomorrow and batch four on Wednesday.
Sure, maybe I drew the short straw having to stay home so that Henry could have an impromptu basketball practice with friends, but watching Will attack an ice cream cone is pretty awesome. #lemonstolemonade #thanksstewleonards
You guys, I played my first school band concert ever, sitting in with our seventh graders on bass! Also… band twin selfie with Henry! You can see the expression of pure joy on his face.
That’s one heck of a temperature swing.
It’s #brewday. 4 beers in 3 days.
Happy New Year! (Will is SO going to need glasses…)
